Why are partners so crucial in projects like WPCS?
We are proud to introduce the partners who are helping make the 2026 Women Powered Coffee Summit possible—and helping us weave a different future for coffee.
Thinking about the Women Powered Coffee Summit entering its fifth edition is something that still amazes us. Four years have passed since the first Summit, and WPCS is becoming bigger, deeper, and more accessible. But growth means more hands, more resources, and, most importantly, more people who believe in a different way of doing things.
Without people, coffee is just a plant
We often talk about coffee as if it were simply a product, but behind every cup is a network of people, relationships, knowledge, and decisions that determine whose work is valued and whose stories are remembered.
The same is true for WPCS.
The Summit exists because people choose to invest their time, knowledge, resources, and trust in a different vision for the coffee industry. Volunteers donate their time. Speakers share their experiences and expertise. Community partners help create spaces for connection. And our key and strategic partners make it possible for women coffee producers to be in the room—not simply as participants, but as protagonists in the conversations shaping the future of coffee.
And every partner brings a different thread to that work of rewriting the story of coffee: knowledge, market access, capital, community power, visibility, leadership, and relationships. And that is why partnership matters to WPCS.
Rewriting history, one connection at a time
Our theme for this year's Summit, “Rewriting History, Weaving Solidarity,” asks us to look at the coffee industry not only as it is, but as it has been shaped over time. Across the coffee industry, our partners are already contributing to that work in different ways.
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation brings a commitment to community power, racial healing, and narrative change, supporting communities as they confront historical inequities and work toward more equitable futures.
Coffee Quality Institute works to recognize the expertise and value of producers through education, quality, and market connections—helping shift the way the industry understands the people whose knowledge and labor make coffee possible.
Coffee Circle is rethinking how value moves through the coffee chain by building long-term relationships with producers, investing in communities, and creating models rooted in greater transparency and shared value.
Root Capital works at the intersection of capital, leadership, and opportunity, challenging the barriers that have historically limited women's access to finance and decision-making in agriculture.
DaVinci Gourmet has supported women coffee farmers with direct income through their partnership with Cafe Feminino, and now Bean Voyage leadership opportunities, and greater recognition within their communities—helping bring women whose labor has often been invisible closer to the center of the coffee story.
Other partners bring different threads to this work. ANICAFÉ connects actors across Mexico's coffee industry and creates opportunities to recognize the work and excellence of producers. Grupo Gigante's initiatives connect businesses and consumers more closely to the communities behind the products they consume.
Every partner brings something different to the table. Some bring capital. Some bring knowledge. Some open doors to markets. Some create opportunities for leadership. Some bring visibility. Some build relationships. Some help communities tell fuller stories about themselves, all with the shared commitment to an equitable and thriving coffee industry for all.
For CQI, that work is closely connected to creating opportunities for women across the coffee value chain. As T.J. Ryan, Managing Director of Programs at Coffee Quality Institute, explains:
“Our shared commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for women across the coffee value stream. Our partnership with Women-Powered Coffee Summit goes beyond conversations. It brings together producers, educators, businesses, and industry leaders to build connections, share knowledge, and invest in women's leadership. That aligns closely with our mission of improving coffee quality and livelihoods through education and access to opportunity.”
Algunos aportan capital. Otros comparten conocimiento. Algunos abren puertas a mercados. Otros crean oportunidades para el liderazgo. Unos dan visibilidad. Algunos construyen relaciones.
Weaving solidarity
For WPCS, these connections matter because rewriting the story of coffee also means changing who gets to participate in the conversation, whose expertise is valued, and who gets to shape what comes next.
If rewriting history asks us to change whose stories are heard, weaving solidarity asks us to consider what happens when we bring those different voices, resources, and forms of power together.
For DaVinci Gourmet, the diversity in voices and the collaboration across the industry is what makes coffee stronger. As Roberto Gutiérrez, Marketing Manager Food Service, LATAM Region at Davinci Gourmet, shares:
"We were motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a platform that connects, amplifies, and celebrates women's leadership in the industry. At DaVinci Gourmet, we believe innovation is more powerful when it incorporates different voices and perspectives, and this partnership allows us to support a community that is actively transforming the future of coffee."
That is what our partners make possible at WPCS, opening the doors for those who may otherwise not have had the opportunity.
Their support allows us to weave unique moments for producers throughout the Summit. During the week, we create spaces for real connections between producers and buyers, funders, educators, and other members of the coffee community. In farm visits, workshops, panels, matchmaking sessions, and dinners, the conversation shifts.
Producers can taste their coffee in different ways, learn the language of buyers, better understand the market, share their own knowledge, and recognize new possibilities for their products and businesses. Buyers get to meet the people behind the coffee. Funders hear directly from the communities they want to support. And people who may never otherwise have crossed paths find themselves sitting at the same table.
A scholarship, then, is more than a ticket.
It can become a trip, a conversation, a new market connection, a sale, a workshop, a friendship, or the confidence to see your own work differently.
This is what solidarity looks like to us: not everyone doing the same thing, but different people bringing what they have to the same table to make sure that all voices are heard, and that coffee can be a means for thriving livelihood for everyone.
We are proud to introduce our partners
Every partnership is a tangible way to support women who are part of the coffee value chain. But more than that, every partnership adds another thread to the fabric of WPCS.
Meet the organizations helping us make this year's Summit possible.
Key Partners
Tejiendo solidaridad

WPCS doesn't happen alone. It happens because people choose to invest in an industry where women can be protagonists, have more opportunities, build meaningful connections, and shape the future of coffee.
