Founders’ Note: December 2025

Hi all,

As we wrap up the year, we wanted to share something fun — our own BV-Wrapped. Six years since registering Bean Voyage, so here are our top 6 highlights (saying that out loud feels big!).

  • First: we enrolled 350 women in our Farmer School this year — bringing us to 1,248 producers across Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, and Honduras.

  • Second: we successfully completed a pilot in Colombia and Mexico that’s shaping how we’ll expand over the next five years (super exciting to finally see the path forward!).

  • Third: we distributed $78,681 in seed funds this year — now $180,811 cumulatively — supporting farm-designed, women-led action plans.

  • Fourth: We also exported 76 tonnes of green coffee, generating $825,846 in direct farm income — and surpassing $1.5M cumulatively (often ~4x commodity prices!).

  • Fifth: We hosted our largest-ever Women-Powered Coffee Summit (350+ attendees, 4,621 meaningful connections to date — yes, really!).

  • And finally: a brand + website refresh. Love the new colors?

On top of that, we were named Event of the Year (Sprudge & Lo Mejor de Café!), finalists for major sustainability awards (by Specialty Coffee Association and NCA USA Awards), and kicked off new partnerships with SANA and Latinas in Coffee — with more coming in 2026.

We’re feeling deeply grateful. Thanks for being part of this journey — we’re so grateful to you for the support and excited for what’s next.

With gratitude,

Sunghee & Abhi
